Introduction of Pokhara





       Pokhara is the most beautiful tourist center as well as beautiful city all over the world. It also can be said that it was the master piece of heaven. iIt is second largest city of Nepal with the area of 55.22 sq.km. It is situated about 200 km west from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. It serves as headquarter of Kaski district, Gandaki Zone and Western Development Region. Pokhara is situated at an altitude of 884m on the seti river and overshadowed by Machhapuchhre or the Fistail mountain. Pokhara, the centreof adventure in Nepal, is an enchating city nestled in a tranquil valley. Due to its stunningly beautiful natural setting and the suitable base for trekking in the Annapurna range. Pokhara is one of the most popular tourist destination in Nepal. The best time to visit Pokhara is from October to April as the summer,it is very hot and humid. There are various places of interest in Pokhara.

Famous places in Pokhara


   Pokhara is naturally rich in natural beauty. Nature blessed various famous places in Pokhara. Pokhara is overshadowed by the Machhapuchhre or the Fistail mountain. The most famous place of Pokhara is Phewa Lake. It lies in the southern part of of Pokhara with fabulous scene. Similarly, there lies a Barahi Temple in the middle of Phewa Lake  which is also famous too. Not only Phewa lake other lakes like Begnas, Rupa, Khaste, Dipang,etc which were located outside the Pokahara. Not only that Sarangkot view point of Pokhara is also famous.It is popular destination lying on the top of a hill to the west of Pokhara with 1592 m height. Similarly World Peace Pagoda also too famous where we can found the statue of Lord Gautam Buddha. 
     Pokhara is not famous only with lakes, top hill and stupas. But it is also famous with rivers, gorge, caves, etc. The famous gorge of Pokhara are David Falls, Seti River Gorge. They are famous all over the world. Similarly, there are famous cavs like Mahendra cave, Chamero cave, Gupteshor cave, and soon which are carried their own identity. Seti river, Mardi khola, Pame khola and Khahare khola are too famous rivers which are located in Pokhara. And the Seti river has accrossed the Pokhara with somewhere deep-seated and somewhere overflowing.
